One families experience

My mother has been to the doctor several times for regular checkups since she moved in. Her health has improved and that makes her children very happy and relieved. The staff is terrific! They are very friendly and patient. The only real problem is that my mother doesn't care for the food. She might just be picky. Also, the menu changes with no notice. She thinks she is going down to the dining area for one meal and something completely different is served. This happens often! Also, they give you a monthly calendar…

Excellent caring staff

I have high praise for the staff; excellent communication, skilled nurses, compassionate care. All the meals I have seen looked excellent and my mother in law says she likes the food. My only complaint is that the floors in the resident’s rooms need swept more often.

Critical

Charged Bogus "Move-In Fee" & They Refused to Refund It!

Do NOT take friends or family to Cedar Hurst (Addington Care) of Sparta. Charged bogus $1500 "move-in fee" other facilities don't charge even though we did all the moving. Family member was there less than month and half before they decided THEY could not provide the needed care so had to move immediately with no place to go except hospital and they would not refund $1500 move-in fee. Was not our decision to leave and not fair or right to keep a fee above beyond the daily fees we had already paid.

Cedarhurst is strictly a private pay community but we were in such a rush and they were so accommodating and very attentive to our need.
