How we select current facts

Community prices

We preserve operator-published prices as observations. We show the latest fresh observation for each applicable care type or floor plan and never average several sources into a facility price.

City distributions

We use one fresh, representative operator-published starting price per community and care type. We display minimum, 25th percentile, median, 75th percentile, maximum, and sample size only when at least five communities qualify.

Freshness

Availability expires from current display after seven days. Prices remain fresh through seven days, age through 14 days, become stale through 30 days, and expire after that.
