CriticalMemory side the residents are not allowed on the patio very often. The billing makes no sense I was always getting different amounts on my statements, med techs are not experienced, except for some who are excellent. Tables are not even on the floor, placemats are thread baron, not enough utensils or plates and bowls. Memory side is like a forgotten child. A lot of staff don't speak English very well so you can't understand them. Don't get me wrong they have some staff very competent and compassionate. I do not rec…

Criticalnot a good fit for my dad, the place was problematic from my dad, but is may be a good fit for other people. I would say beautiful court yard for sitting or walking around in. Staff made a good effort to integrate my dad into the community, but it was too regimented for him given his state of dementia. He ended up being more confused and having altercations with a couple of the caregivers. He is doing much better now in a board and care home.

PositiveThe experience of touring facilities to find a fit for your loved ones can be a very overwhelming. My husband and I via Oates 8 different ones and then narrowed it down to 3. Aegis was one of our top ones and when we brought my mother in law she chose it as well. We all just felt it was very warm, not too large, food was good, outdoor space was nice, the apartment spaces were fine. And we all really liked the marketing director Diana. She was real, warm and joyful. My mother in law is happy and so are we with this…

PositiveThere is excellent care staff and nice activities, and it is clean and safe. The food needs improvement such as having more variety and fresh fruit available - just feels a bit like cafeteria food.

CriticalThe staff is all very nice but I found the pricing to be very vague. In the memory side I feel like they don’t have enough staff to toilet the residents and there is no bathroom that they can use outside of their rooms and all rooms are locked. They do engage with residents but not enough to toilet my husband on a daily schedule. My husband does not like to be lead around he needs a slow and steady and patience to get dressed and cleaned. Even if they had an extra pair of hands to just help with the ADL’s all day I…

PositiveIt is a wonderful facility and they take care of residents like family... that kind of attention and attitude is priceless. Starting with the General Manager down to all of the caregivers, every one works hard to give some dignity to individuals who have lost their sense of dignity and self worth. I have been amazed to see how quickly they have learned to deal with my wife who is extremely combative. They are slowly earning her trust...which is saying a lot and I have noticed that they treat everyone with the respe…
