One of the reasons I chose America House at Coconut point was they had a small apartment ready furnished. I just didn't like to buy a bed and a dresser and all that.I will pay extra every month to rent that furniture but that's OK. I like the place the Help the CNA's are OK. I would like that a nurse would see him more often because of his suprapubic. The food is not great. I would eat more often with my husband there. Facility is well maintained and amenities are good, lots of activities for residents, apartments are very nice. The one negative I would add is that communication still needs to be improved upon and van driver went on vacation for two weeks with no good option for resident transportation.

PositiveThe facility appeared very clean and neat. Our tour guide was very polite and knowledgeable. This was our first visit to any facility of this type and we did it mainly to satisfy a request from our Son. When something happens to either one of us he wants us to have some place in mind as to where we might want to go. American House will definitely be on our short list.

Friendly and cooperative staff overall but disappointed with the protocols (or lack thereof) after my mother was diagnosed with head lice after being there two months. Never before has she had them and all they did was bill us [Amount Removed] to have her room fumigated. No checking up on other residents, etc.
