PositiveIt's a beautiful building, very well designed and decorated. It's less expensive than other popular places. The food is quite good. Nearly all the staff are kind and good people. Some of the aides are not careful about details like properly administering meds, or correctly putting in hearing aids. That is my main concern. But I think that would be the case elsewhere.
★★★★★
PositiveMany of the staff members there have changed over the past year which has upset my mother in law. However, based on the experience we have had we would recommend Amira Choice to other families.

PositiveFabulous. Great, brand new facilities. Felt much more like a hotel/resort than an old folks home which we thought would be more appealing to loved one's husband since he was more appropriate for independent living than assisted living. Good level of activities and community available. Not overwhelmingly large. Particularly loved that in addition to typical levels of care available, also have some quasi-hospital suites next to nurse's station for when things get more serious or loved one needs highest level of care.…

CriticalI would tell others that it's a beautiful place and nearly everyone is friendly. But it costs more than other places in the area. Not sure why.

PositiveFriendly staff. Beautiful accommodations. Been a turnover of staff lately that has been upsetting to my mother in law. Staff is very friendly, though. Lots of activities as long as there isn't an outbreak of Covid. And when there is an outbreak of Covid they take it very seriously which as a family member I greatly appreciate. No housekeeping. There is a woman in the building that does it on the side but that has been on and off. My mother in law really likes her, but she doesn't show up all the time.
Response from the communityHello, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and your kind words about our community. I can appreciate concerns surrounding when staff leaves, such as our nursing director's recent departure, but we respect that she had other endeavors she wished to pursue. We are looking forward to the arrival of our next nursing director, who myself and Alees, the executive director, both worked with previously. I assure you that she'll be a fantastic addition to our team! As for housekeeping, we do have our own, who predominantly assist our assisted living residents as part of a base package. Still, if your mother-in-law is Independent Living, she could still contract them for an additional fee. If you have any questions about that, or anything else, please don't hesitate to call me directly at (612) 222-3954.
