CriticalNOT Family owned facility, Dirty, reduced Senior activities, medical oversight at all.
This facility, once a great place to age in peace, was full of Senior activity with a great Chef. All ended in [date removed], purchased by a corporate entity that originated in TX. Activities were the highlight of the day, every day, with great variety. Activity room lights mostly out now. Approached management, was told we are only required by law to provide 2 hours of activities per day, divided between main residents and memory care area, one hour each. Everyone on the staff was excellent - except for one person who dispensed the medication in the morning. She doesn't have a friendly attitude. And she wasn't helpful when questioned. The night time girl who dispensed medication was excellent. If the morning girl was as good as the night time one my rating would be a 5 on staffing.

I am so glad we found Arbor Oaks. Is it perfect? No...nothing is going to be perfect when dealing with a dementia patient But at least here many of the aids actually do CARE about your loved one. All I know is this...I can sleep at night knowing (for now) that she is safe. She is clean. She is being cared for. She is eating. And honesty folks, that is all you can ask for.
