At Artis, we help people living with dementia achieve the essential human need for purpose, belonging, and joy by building a bridge between their lifelong identity and present daily life. By “Honoring Yesterday, Celebrating Today,” we create safer, more connected, more celebrated lives. Our holistic well-being framework is comprised of four essential components, in optimal combination: supportive environment, discreet care, social connection, and cognitive health. We collaborate with the resident, their family, doctors, and care partners to create an assessment-based plan of care, with supervision by on-site 24-hour licensed nursing staff and 24-hour dementia care-trained associates on-site. We also offer coordination with third-party and visiting therapists, clinicians, and specialists. Our thoughtfully designed community consists of four distinct, locally themed neighborhoods, 12,000+ sq. ft. of secure outdoor space with walking paths and seating, and a Town Square with centralized amenities. Suites featuring doorway shadow boxes to aid wayfinding, dedicated family photo shelving, and ADA-compliant bathrooms. We make mealtime both nourishing and meaningful, with dietitian-approved menus served family-style on brightly colored place settings to encourage appetite. Special diets are happily accommodated. We honor each resident’s history, interests, and personal qualities, with opportunities to build strength and balance, restore dexterity and cognitive skills, bond with neighbors and unlock memories through music, reduce stress, have a voice in community events, and continue to make a difference.

Very informational when we visited the place. However when my father in law was staying there, there were some problems with other residents coming into his room to urinate and go thru his stuff. Fortunately my FIL was able to move out of Artis as he did not end up needing that level of care.

PositiveThis is a beautiful facility. A lot of careful planning and thoughtfulness went into making this place safe for loved ones with memory issues. It is wonderful that they furnished rooms available for new residents if need a place right away. They choose to have their own possessions there as well. I like that there is an option to stay there up to 14 days if a temporary place to stay in needed.

Staff is excellent, very friendly and personable. Lots of activities for the residents. Room is not real big but is sufficient. Place is very cheerfully decorated and kept very clean. Food is decent and very varied.

CriticalSaw residents wet in unchanged depends. I really don’t understand these positive reviews. My mother rarely gets her medications and they are fraudulently mark ed as given. She also is supposed to get her blood sugar checked, which is also fraudulently documented. Unbelievable. Moved her out two weeks ago to stay with us where we can actually care for her. Stay away!!
