Mom likes the people and is making friends. I think the facility itself is so lovely and charming - very sunny and nicely decorated, feels very homey and warm. Her apartment is small but cute. Also sunny, which is important in Maine! The one consistent complaint she's had is about the food. But honestly I think she's just sort of a food snob and not accustomed to what I would call dining hall food. She's had a hard time getting the staff to accommodate some of her dietary preferences. She answered all our questions in a direct and straightforward manner. We were impressed with the friendliness of all the staff and residents we met.
