Assisted Living at The Meadowlands

I was very pleased with my tour as my questions were answered and the facility was clean and welcoming! I especially was impressed with [name removed], the Director.

Frustrations

If your family member is truly assisted living, I think it's a fine place. When you start to need extra help, it becomes more difficult to help. Weekend staffing could be improved. Also the staff turnover is very high. Another difficult adjustment for the elderly.

Needs more staff

Overall, experience, the staff that I have come across have been very good and are very good to the residence problems. Are they do not give the patient or their residence their two time a week shower they do not do the laundry two times a week like they said they would do. The food is good. The activities are good. They are short staffed. They're missing a long-term memory care manager/Director they're missing their sales person. These two people have quit recently numerous staff members have quit. 4-star Meadowlands Review

Lots more men here than most places. Oftentimes men outnumber women in the dining room for breakfast especially. We chose the most expensive room that has a separate bedroom from the main living area with a small kitchenette. Pretty much space for a sofa, recliner and several smaller chairs for seating. Also room for a small dining table inside the door adjacent to the kitchen area. The facility was beautiful and immaculate. [name removed] gave us a complete tour and even offered us fresh baked cookies she just made. You can tell she loves her job, her coworkers and the residents. We were highly impressed!

The staff was very helpful and concerned about [name removed]'s well-being. I hgihly recommend The Meadowlands.
