At AVALON, we set ourselves apart from other residences with the level of care and compassion we show to our residents. Our care is unique in that we treat our residents as people with individual needs rather than grouping them as 'those with dementia.' After all, a lack of cognitive ability doesn't equate to a lack of individual personality. It is important to remember that we are guests in their home.

What I found true with Avalon is that most of the staff there genuinely cares about the family and residents. The meals are balanced and healthy and it's very clean. They handled my mom's end of life care with dignity. They have activities including musicians coming in.

Everyone that I have encountered here is amazing. They are always smiling and eager to help. You can tell and feel the love that they have for the residents as well as staff and visitors. Another fun perk is it’s gorgeous inside and out.

PositiveCompassionate Care
My brother and i are so thankful we found Avalon Memory Care. Our mother was in another facility prior to Avalon Memory Care. The prior facility was a horrible nightmare. Avalon Memory Care is the opposite. The manager [name removed] and the entire staff is wonderful, they're very helpful and kind to all of the residents., it is always clean, and we have no problem reaching them. All of Mom's physical needs are met on a daily basis, they take very good care of her.

My husband has been a resident at Avalon Memory Care in Garland for almost eighteen months and I am pleased with his care. There were a couple of hiccups early but were taken care of promptly. His room is always clean and neat. [name removed], the Director, and her staff are polite and professional. I’m also pleased that he is seen by the staff nurse weekly.

PositiveThe Best Option
First, [name removed] the director at Garland is the best. Always accessible and always helpful. This is a memory care center and there are patients at all stages of the disease. My friend has been with Avalon for at least two years and they treat her so well. As the disease has progressed they have done everything they can to make her life comfortable. She will be there til the end. There are more expensive places that have more things to do, but my friend cannot do those things. So this is the best place for her.…

I give the highest marks to [name removed] and all of her staff. We placed our beautiful, sweet mother at Avalon Garland following a bad experience at another care facility. Mom had extensive physical and cognitive issues when she arrived. The care at Avalon was superb. Kind, loving care. Clean facility. Activities and great music for residents.
