PositiveWhat we like the most about the community is that there are covered walkways from building to building. They have a secure gate to prevent unauthorized persons from coming in and from residents wandering out. They have different levels of care depending on the needs. It is a family owned business and the owners are very friendly and responsive to calls and texts. The staff is very helpful and supportive.

CriticalThis is the 5th residence my brother has stayed in since he became unable to care for himself. And it is by far the best. He has an income of less that $800 per month. Some of the places he’s been were rudimentary in appearance. This is expected at his income level. However, the people in charge of the other places, in general, did not care what happened to him. As a result, he has been hospitalized and came close to dying. THIS IS NOT THE CASE HERE. The people that run Avalon make all the difference. They are not …
