Bell Trace

I toured Bell Trace looking for assisted living for my father. In our case, I felt the facility was much too large. The fact that there were multiple levels in the living facility, and the medical facility was located in a separate building was not a good fit for us since my 92 year old father walks with a walker or cane, and can't walk long distances at a time.

Three things, I think. The many and varied activities available, the quality of the dining experience, and the layout and staffing of the facility.

Words matter!

This is no place for mom OR dad! It is an independent living facility. Pray your loved one does not need attention. Wasn't always this way and is not how they advertise their facility. They have no staff longevity ( always looking for help). Administrators are always changing and there is a complete lack of communication, follow thru, and no delivery of promised care or attention to residents who need help or care. YOU must beg for additional attention which they will gladly bill you for but not deliver. They cost …

I would say that my loved one is well taken care of but the cost is very high. The staff are kind and attentive and there are lots of activities for residents to take part in.

Caring and Capable Staff

The facility is attractive and clean. The staff is caring and capable. Their target demographic is independent seniors. While they do offer special care for those that may need it, they are somewhat limited with what they can do if the client is not mentally or emotionally sound. Please Don't Send Your Loved One to Bell Trace Skilled Nursing

I could never recommend leaving a loved one at Bell Trace skilled nursing facility. Three weeks after being admitted after surgery, my father was constantly complaining of upset stomach, diarrhea, nausea, inability to eat, etc. I am in another city, and on the phone he was telling me he was going to die.
