The experience wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I was paying $[removed]for a pendent alert which wasn't given to her until the nurse found her on the floor.

Unfortunately, [name removed] did not adapt well to the environment. She also had a setback that forced us to find a higher level of care for her. I would still say it is a good place if the elderly person is of the right mindset. In our case, we were very frustrated in the end. We felt like that they did not work with her at the level that they had let us to believe that they would. We had to move her into a higher level of care though so that might be the reason why. This is a small community where a good number of apartments open into secure outdoor areas. This was very important for my Mom and a big reason we chose this community. They get to know the people and their families. They are very responsive to request or to resolve any issues or concerns. They are on the pricier side, but as my mom always taught me, “you get what you pay for”. Bethesda has allowed my Mom to have as much independence as possible while keeping her safe and this gives me tremendous peace
