First of all I'd like to tell you to never ever send anybody to live in this horrible place! Is infested with cockroaches to the point the health department should have been called years ago. It's so bad here they can't keep a manager for 5 months or more. All the complaints about other tenants, especially my complaints about the one upstairs with excessive noise, none of the rules of peace and quiet are kept here or enforced by anybody. When looking for senior living for my dad there were not many affordable options. He did apply at Briarwood in Montclair, CA. He was accepted and they did have some availability. So grateful for the referral from A Place for Mom. Truly came through for our family.

The price and value of Briarwood Manor was a big decision factor for our family, it is very reasonable. The apartments look nice, but the hallways and stairwells we believe are getting updating here soon, they are just a little older looking. However our loved ones stuido apartment is very nice and a perfect fit for him.

The community is very loving and caring. They are probably the only community in the area that hasn't had any cases of COVID in their community. The community regulations sometimes seemed harsh, but at the same time I feel that my loved one is safe. My loved one enjoys the community. The staff is very accommodating to the family and residents. The staff finds a way to make my loved one laugh everyday. This community is convenient for us, as it is less than 15 miles from our house.

Criticalold , unkept, and just nasty
This place doesn’t deserve even a one star rating. It was clean and well maintained 7 years ago under a different manager. The current manager and staff are horrible, the manager and staff smoke , and sine of the residents smoke in front of the building. You get the smell of a dirty ashtray when you first walk in the doors. They keep the downstairs area clean, but when you go up to the second floor, you see filthy, stained worn out carpet. CriticalDo you want cancer from secondhand smoke?
If you want cancer from secondhand smoke come live here! The tenants are allowed to smoke in their units or they don't stop them from doing it. The place is old and the carpet on the second floor is disgusting... Sometimes this place looks like a homeless camp with shopping carts all over the complex. Make sure you tour the entire complex after 5 pm that's when the smoking and [Removed] begins.
