Would not recommend

Facility went through 3 administrators in 2 months. Mostly served cold cut sandwiches and ignored residents. My mother was miserable. They let her throw up for 7 hours without calling anyone. She called me for help, and I called her an ambulance and met her. She had a bowel blockage and had to have emergency surgery. I moved her immediately. I would not send my worst enemy to Bristol Manor. After I moved her, they still charged me for another month because she didn't give thirty days notice.

Mom's New Home

Transitioning to the new place at first was awkward. There was a quick turnover in management and it was confusing. However, the new administrator is wonderful. My mom quickly fell in love with her and is happy in her new home.

Our family had in person tour and it was fun, but it is smaller so we did not think the more isolated setting would work for our loved one. However the staff did leave a great first impression.

We toured this community. The community is well maintained. The staff was not available. We were able to get some of the questions answered that were needed. The administration needs to clarify what the staff is capable of doing to help the residents. We were not able to see the menu that is offered. They had a list of activities. This is a smaller community. Families should take a tour and talk with the administration to clarify what is offered.

All in all, a good place.

Overall it is a pretty good community and a pretty good value. I think, when you say laundry services provided, you think they will do more than wash it and dump it on the bed, though. It's a good place if you are going to be there a lot, and provide your own activities. They have a new manager, so things could change. They clean the rooms once a week, I find that I have to keep up on it a little though so that it doesn't start to smell. It's assisted living and you have to be mobile, when she needs help there is a…
