Rest assured, individual care needs can be met promptly and with compassion. Dementia-experienced caregivers are available 24-hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency. A 24-hour security system along with keypad entries, way-finding cues, and color-coding features are also used, to promote safety and accessibility for all. Brookdale Briargate also offers two exclusive memory care programs — the Clare Bridge and Solace programs. The Clare Bridge program provides residents with six activities each day to help them flourish and maintain their skills and abilities. Meanwhile, the Solace program caters to residents in the late stages of dementia and provides an additional layer of support. This program also offers specific sensory activities involving music and aromatherapy. To simplify your days even more, Brookdale’s team manages your cooking, cleaning, and home maintenance services. Plus, you can use the postal services, or receive assistance with transportation as needed. Residents who enjoy gardening are encouraged to use the community garden. Some additional perks to look forward to include the relaxing whirlpool, the beauty and barber shop, and the comfortable living room with a fireplace. Community Services and Amenities One of your most difficult decisions here may be deciding which activities to try! Brookdale Briargate's events calendar is filled with daily options. Some activities include brain fitness classes, Mardi Gras socials, and snack-and-chat sessions, as well as "moving and grooving" classes. Residents who enjoy gardening are encouraged to use the community garden and greenhouse, and for those who’d like to relax with a good book, there’s even an on-site library. Another excellent perk this community offers is the Personal Solutions program. If you need assistance with small errands, you can receive the helping hand you need. Simply send the staff a list of items you need, like toothpaste, hair spray, or similar necessities, and the items will be delivered right to your front door. Best of all, there is no fee for the delivery. Living Arrangements Choose from three cozy apartment floor plans ranging from 288 to 360 square feet. The apartments feature a private bathroom, storage space, and windows that allow for plenty of natural light. Some spaces even include a beautiful view of the community garden. An added bonus is that the community is pet-friendly, and you are encouraged to bring your furry friend along. State Classification Brookdale Briargate is an assisted living residence , which in the state of Colorado is a residential facility which provides personal services, protective oversight, social care due to impaired capacity to live independently, and 24 hour supervision (but not to the extent that regular 24-hour medical nursing care is required). Assisted living residences may also provide care to no more than 16 elderly persons who are mentally ill.
