Brookdale Fairhaven

Brookdale Fairhaven is a wonderful assisted living facility. Its small size, staff-to-resident ratio, services, food, activities, cleanliness, and cheery gardens and environs all make it an excellent choice for an aging loved one or oneself.

The number of certified medical professionals on staff, combined with the small, personal size makes this an excellent choice for people who want their loved ones in a place where they are cared for and "everyone knows your name".

Unfortunately, I have a strong negative reaction to the “cool” blue lighting throughout the facility. You are not alone in not understanding the significance of this issue to me. I understand that the newer lights are used because the owner(s) made a financial decision to reduce electrical costs.

My father was happy there. They cared about him but the other residents were really lovely and he loved being in their company. I would recommend to others. It's clean. Staff is kind and caring. He loved the food. He really enjoyed the other residents. He wished it had a better outside area where they could get outside and visit in the fresh air. A patio off his room or off the dining room would've been nice. All in all, the social part was so important.

[name removed] has settled into Brookdale and likes it. He ended up with the best room in the place. Small single floor facility with very good meals. They also have four RNs on staff, one of which is the Executive Director.
