PositiveI would give them all a five we are very happy with everything my mother in law doesn't partake in the activities so I really can't speak for that. The apartment size is bigger than we thought lots of closet space. All of the staff there is very friendly. The amazing thing is the other people that stay there are very friendly and helpful. They seemed to be always smiling.

PositiveThe room and toilet not clean for more than a week now. Boarding and lodging cost unreasonable for a elderly person with next to zero income. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families because they work with Medicaid. If private pay only, I wouldn't.

CriticalMy mom spent over two years here. She paid for shower assistance twice a week and meds management. She had severe short-term memory loss and was legally blind. Although kind, Brookdale staff, with a few exceptions, don't treat residents as unique individuals. They often don't read menus to blind residents. They skip showers for residents with memory loss who don't want one "right now", although the resident doesn't understand that their next chance won't be for 3-4 days.
