We took a virtual tour of a cottage, which is approximately 1300 sf with a one car attached garage. —We found the cottage to be laid out nicely and pricing to be reasonable. —There’s no patio or way to back of cottage without going around buildings. —The front porch is reasonable for sitting outside. We really just panned the outdoor space; but we’re told there’s ample walking paths, as well as indoor walking in inclement weather.

My Mom loves the facility, says the staff is amazing and caring but the food is average.

Nice facility with good size 1 bedroom apartments. The staff seemed genuinely engaged with residents. The common areas were welcoming and inviting. The location is right in the heart of Federal Way with easy access to lots of doctors and hospitals, shopping and more. The place isn’t out of date yet, but they should be scheduling a refresh of paint and decor in the next couple of years to keep the facility feeling fresh.

So far so good

The cost is pricey, but all facilities like this are. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food could definitely be better! A wider selection is needed. Mom is already bored with the food. It seems the menu is rotated only weekly or biweekly at best. The vegetables are always mushy because they're overcooked. And they really need to know that Velveeta American cheese is NOT cheese! But the staff is friendly and helpful. There seems to be many activities, but Mom is slow to join in, so I don't have much info

Brookdale Foundation House

I'm super happy with everything. So, I rank everything with a five at this point. However, if you were to reach back out to me after six months, maybe I would have a better sense of things and what my folks think. Right now I rate my folks a 2 to 3 hahaha because they believe they are independent, living people and they really are not. So, my wife and I are urging them to take advantage of assisted living options, i.e., medicine management and laundry services. I also want them to start taking advantage of the acti

Has room for improvements

This is some of the things I notice that needs improvement. 1) cleanliness, the dining room tables and chairs need to scrubbed down. The hallway smells very strongly of urine. The chairs in the common areas need to be cleaned. There are stained and smell like urine. 2)over all experience is we were promised the Moon and the stars when we signed the contract, we feel like like we are getting smog and gray overcast skies. 3) They need more help with the patients in the AM when they are getting them dressed and t
