CriticalThe staff seems extremely nice. They are short staffed which leads to longer call times and sometimes missed services. Parents have missed getting showers. Overall fairly clean. Food is fair. Apartment size is good, they have an extremely hard to find 2 bedroom.

CriticalApartment size was fine. Very clean units and common area. Rating is low because , even though my sister was interviewed, this was not the place for her. She was not an assisted candidate which could have been established by reading through her hospital record and taking note of her medications. Upon transfer, not all her meds went the first day. Positive[name removed] was coming straight out of a rehab hospital with the medical recommendation to discharge to assisted living - she needed more help than we could provide at home. [name removed] from Brookdale was very accommodating, and my mom felt very comfortable with her. She had a number of health issues and tends to keep to herself. The staff was very friendly, though, and eager to get her involved!
★★★★★
PositiveI like how helpful the staff are with questions and concerns. The atmosphere is cozy and cheery and fun. The staff decorate for holidays. One very important aspect not present is the residents are not able to take short trips or visits to stores or events outside of Brookdale. They do not have a driver for the bus yet. I feel very lucky too. I found BROOKDALE for my mom. And I am very happy that she lives there.
★★★★★
PositiveAlways willing to answer questions. [name removed] at the front desk is amazing and so helpful always. Executive director is available most of the time. The staff are friendly and talkative with residence and their families.
★★★★★
PositiveSpecial note on value. Mother in law received a monthly discount of $[fee removed] because we signed the contract during an April promotion. Note on activities: facility has lots of activities. MIL physical limitations restrict her ability to participate.
