PositiveOur family's experience
5+ - FOOD IS OUTSTANDING (all residents agree). Activities (not sure as they have been without an activities director for several months. Brookdale NW Greensboro was one of about 6 facilities we visited with my 93 year old mother-in-law before selecting the place she wanted to be. She moved from another facility and immediately said this place felt more like a home. The chef is great and remembered what she said she liked and had it for her the day she moved in

This is a nice small facility with a good family feel. The nurses, caregivers, dining staff, housekeeping, maintenance are all attentive to the patient’s needs. Activities offered are fun and inviting.

PositiveA nice place with friendly staff.
The staff seems very friendly and they have activities on week days. It is also very clean. My mother says it's difficult to find a med tech to get otc meds like cough and eye drops. She has some laundry that has never been returned. But I believe in general it is a safe, friendly and caring place. I would rate it a 4 because I know very elderly people have sometimes inexhaustible needs and you can't always please them.

The main reason we chose Brookdale Northwest Greensboro was because of the friendliness of the person I spoke to. Unfortunately, she is no longer employed there. The biggest complaint was not getting an itemized bill! I tried since my mom started living there to get an itemized bill! It never happened! I wanted to know exactly what I paid for monthly, since the amount would change.

As a current resident of Brookdale Northwest Greensboro I would say there are some employees who are amazing and love us with all their hearts. And then there are employees that are clearly here only for the money. Unfortunately, that would be some of the leadership in this facility. They get paid an extraordinarily high salary yet treat residences as though we don’t have a brain or an opinion. That is not the case. The facility is very clean, the staff is competent and caring, and the chef prepares delicious, healthy meals. Residents are treated with respect and their concerns are heard and generally addressed. The only concern during my sister's first two months is that cöphone calls on one weekend were not answered.
