Brookdale Olympia West

I liked the facility. It had a lot of activities for the residents. It was a place that I would enjoy.

The facility and staff that I met with were wonderfully kind and professional. The facility itself was 5 Star fantastic! The only issue I had was actually with A Place for Mom and not Brookdale. I was very clear regarding the monthly cost my loved one could afford and yet I was referred to Brookdale which is clearly above that threshold. Not helpful!

Very clean facility. Happy residents. Caregivers are very professional and eager to help. An abundance of activities for residents. Nice outdoor spaces. Sales staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, especially [name removed].

Room to improve

[name removed] the sales person is absolutely fantastic very responsive. Very helpful. Always available even when not on site Staff turnover is huge -- communication is lacking. Consistant questions must take place. Reminders and followup is necessary-- expensive for the type of care needed vs care received. I had to follow up to get information. Warm and welcoming

When you walk into the facility it's bright and welcoming. It's always decorated for the different seasons. I'm impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. When I brought my mom in for assessment, the gentleman performing the test was extremely difficult to understand. English is not his native language and his accent is challenging to understand.

Things to know

Negative would be lack of communication. I don't get updated on anything and have had a hard time getting responses when I reach out regarding specific things. Positive would be activities available. My dad hasn't really participated but the residents I've seen while visiting seem to enjoy it.
