dad's life at Brookdale

Overall. as long as my dad is happy ?? I'm happy. He worked hard his whole life and deserves the best. The room size is good. Most of the staff are so nice and my dad is happy there. He says he's treated well. Some incidences with weekend staff, shaving. Soaking wet depends, not smelling good. I addressed this immediately with those staff. The building is nice and clean the food service is appetizing . My dad likes it.

The attendants take an interest in learning about the residents as people as well as any special needs. Friendly, positive attitudes, weekly entertainment, know the regular visitors by name. My mom was mostly non-responsive, eyes closed, and not speaking when she arrived at Brookdale. On entertainment day about a week or two after her arrival, a country singer was singing Brown Eyed Girl" and [name removed] (an attendant) asked if there were any brown eyed girls and I pointed to my mom. Amazing

This facility is absolutely amazing. The love and care my loved one received here was impeccable. The staff here works as a team, absolutely seamless. Everyone is in harmony with each other, it's unbelievable. Everyone is out ther willing to step in and help not matter what is going on. bravo everyone. I could not have selected a better place. The staff are all kind, have patience. My dad says he is treated well. I'm happy I found the facility its beautiful had lots of activities , and other people to socialize with.

Mom is at a safe place.

We love how the building is divided and organized. The staff is very kind and friendly. It's clean and plenty of events. This was our last stop of 3 choices. As soon as we walked in. Meet some of the staff. Took a tour and knew it was home for our mom. She is thriving there. Best decision.

Brookdale Silver Lake

This is a beautiful facility, but, no resident wants to be there. The employees are wonderful and, very kind to residents and visitors. The facility provides a room and meals, and nothing else. Meaning furniture. Bedding, clothing, personal items, and medications. Residents get two showers per week, and laundry services are provided if you choose. You must sign a contract if you place your loved one there, with very strict. rules. Read them carefully! There is an annual increase in rent as well. Very $$$$.
