Brookdale provides a very welcoming, friendly, and supportive community. The staff is exemplary, from the Director to the housekeepers, and the range of activities offered is impressive. The rooms range in size and are well designed to support those with mobility challenges. We made a great choice for our parents to come to Brookdale!

Friendly staff, very knowledgeable regarding services. The residents we talked to seemed happy. Grounds appear to be well kept. Good number of trips and programs.

Great Accommodations for Those Independent

I think the water gets a bit muddied by it being "independent living" yet so many people seemed to need care. The care offered needed to be hired to come in or we could utilize the services of a group of aides there at Brookdale who were also paid via the residents. Most aides were kind and loving, but these folks are not actually trained (i.e. certified as CNAs.) Review for Brookdale Summerfield

It was wonderful and I would highly recommend Summerfield to anyone. It was my ex-husband that was living there and he has Parkinson's disease. The staff was exceptional in making every attempt to make him comfortable and happy. In addition the atmosphere was so positive and pleasant. Everyone, from the director to the kitchen staff were beyond kind and helpful and bent over backwards to be so. The staff is outstanding. The facility is aging quickly. They are working on it but it's taking a long time. The food is so so. They have had a tough time keeping a cook. They always offer a hot dog or hamburger if you don't like what's on the menu. My parents don't need any care so that's why I rated the value as a 3.
