About the community
Located at the base of the gorgeous Catalina Foothills in Tucson, Arizona, you will find Brookdale Tanque Verde — a single-story memory care community. Here, you'll be surrounded by compassionate caregivers, a variety of on-site amenities, and person-centered care services each day. While your meals, laundry, and everyday chores are managed, you can embrace your independence. Rest assured, staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency and provide you with the right amount of support. Plus, the community features additional safety measures like secured entrances and exits, an emergency alert system, and enclosed walking paths. In addition to promoting safety, Brookdale Tanque Verde offers two memory care programs — Clare Bridge and Solace. The Clare Bridge program is an exclusive brand of dementia care that was established more than 30 years ago. It provides residents with six planned activities each day to promote the use of their current skills and abilities. The Solace program provides additional support to residents in the late stages of dementia by offering assistance with grooming and providing additional time for music and aromatherapy activities. If needed, residents can receive assistance with medication management, bathing, dressing, eating, and more. For your convenience, dementia-friendly menus packed with nutritious entrées and snacks are served daily. Community Services and Amenities Here, residents can make each day exciting and memorable. Join a group exercise or baking class, attend a community nature walk, or enjoy a friendly game night — the choice is yours. Residents can book appointments for haircuts in the on-site beauty and barber shop or test out their green thumb at the community garden or greenhouse. The arts and crafts studio, library, and cozy living room are popular places to decompress after an interactive and eventful day. Other community perks, like the postal services and the delivery program — Personal Solutions — are also available, to save you even more time. Through the Personal Solutions program, residents can submit a list of needed items, such as shampoo, face wipes, or other hygienic goods, and the staff will deliver them discreetly to your door at no additional cost to you. Living Arrangements Each comfortable, pet-friendly apartment is designed to feel warm and cozy — just like home. Choose from a selection of options, ranging from private studios to friendship suites. These spaces offer an abundance of natural light and include a private bathroom. If you need questions answered or would like assistance moving in, staff members are nearby to help. PositiveI like that Brookdale is all-inclusive. There are very few things for which they charge extra. Also, having medical professionals that come to the facility is great. Also, forgot to mention the monthly memory care support group. Great to learn and talk to others that are going through a similar journey with their loved ones

PositiveWe have had a great experience at Brookdale. It was a good place to land. We appreciate the kind staff who take great care of our Mom. She is happy living there and we enjoy visiting her and spending time with her at Brookdale.

PositiveThe management and staff went above and beyond our expectations, when we needed to move my Dad for more care. They answered all our questions and made sure that it was the right place for my Dad. They were kind, compassionate and understanding. They listened intently to our concerns. Brookdale is clean and smells great. It has a “homey” feel for its size. I witnessed caregivers gently stroking the hand of an anxious resident and another gently guiding and then re-guiding a resident to the dining room with love and …

PositiveWe moved my Dad into Brookdale Tanque Verde in the middle of this year. From the very beginning it was clear that the leadership at this facility was caring and empathetic to our situation. Since my dad has been there, I can say that the care and empathy we experienced from the leadership is also demonstrated by all of the staff. We have had zero issues. The food looks good and there are always activities going on to keep the residents busy.

PositiveThis place has a culture well-suited to the needs of the residents they serve and their families. Every staff member shows respect and kindness. They truly care, and it is evident in the work that they do. Family members and friends are always welcome and often called by name. My sister is happy to see her caregivers. Despite the challenges she faces, she wants to cooperate with them, as do her neighbors. I could never compete with the skilled, personalized and loving care she receives here.
