PositiveMy overall rate at Cambridge Village of Apex has been an amazing, learning and inspiring experience for my dad. I give them 5 stars. Why? My dad was living with me and my young adult son for 4 years. My dad is 80 years old, very active, completely independent, working a part time job once a week and living with moderate dementia. My dad wanted to try an independent living facility in our community to be more involved and active on a daily basis. We chose Cambridge Village of Apex. The staff, residents, and home car…

PositiveI was in a community in South Colorado which was very nice. Based on the two communities, Cambridge Village is far superior and I am the happiest I have been in a long time. The facility offers dining for lunch and dinner and is quiet and relaxed. Also offered is dinner in the Pub which is more open and offers alcoholic beverages. The facility is spacious and bright and offers many classes to suit the needs of various types of individuals. I have found the staff and mechanics/caretakers to be most helpful. The resi…

PositiveI see this as not 5 stars only because many of the activities that were promised and are carefully planned out do not have the capacity for the entire population. The trips to Walmart fill up fast. The transportation to doctors visits needs to be done weeks before hand. The garden Club has a very long wait list to be a member. Even some dinners you need to sign up first in order to be able to participate in. The facility is clean and the staff is super friendly. Communication about events and activities is clear a…

Their aging-in-place web page (as of [date removed]) claims they can provide Skilled Nursing and Home Healthcare through in-house healthcare providers. That is VERY UNTRUE. Unfortunately, we found out the hard way. Many of the residents have major cognitive decline and should be living in assisted living or memory care facilities. And it was disturbing that only one person is on staff for the entire facility at nigh…

PositiveThe staff are awesome! My mom has not participated in very many activities yet so I cannot rate those but I have spent a bit of time looking at what is available and it does seem sufficient, diverse and interesting. In addition, it seems like the residents have a lot of control in the decision making and even informing their own activities that is supported by the organization. There is even an app to Make planning, reaching out to other residents and participating as easy as possible. Apps are a bit difficult for …
