About the community
Carol Ann’s Home opened the doors of its first location in October of 2008. We were interested in providing a different type of care than what was currently available to seniors in our community. I believe seniors deserve to live and be cared for in home environment where they feel comfortable but still have access to the support they need. When a family visits the first thing they notice is how home like we are, walking into the living room they find residents sitting watching TV, playing games, listening to music. Walking to the kitchen you would find people enjoying a snack and watching the days meal being prepared. The back patio always has people watching wildlife and visiting with each other. Losing independence as a senior can be frightening. At this stage of life it can also seem as though there is nothing left to enjoy. We have fostered an environment where life is celebrated! Our residents have a lifetime of stories to share and family to love and we are here to make sure that happen. I’m often asked about special diets which we provide for some residents. Today we can live far beyond our ability to have a quality of life with all the advances in medicines and medical equipment. However, what is that life if it cannot be lived? I simply believe if you are 80 years old and want chocolate cake I am going to let you eat it! I tell families all the time its not about the quantity of time left but rather the quality of time a person has left. I decided in the very beginning we would make people happy for whatever time they have left and if that means ice cream and margaritas then that’s what we will do.

PositiveStaff has been excellent but there have been a change of staff recently so I'm unable to comment in new staff. My mother and my mother in law are at Carol Ann's Home. They both are pleased with the 3 meals and the ability to share meals with other residents. It gives them the opportunity to interact with other residents.

PositiveHappy with the facility and staff. Only complaint is that the overnight shift refuses to separate clothing. They wash all the clothes together so it is very common my mom is wearing someone else's clothes and some other bed has her bedding. We understand they are busy and yet we were satisfied enough to place my momnlaw there as well.

PositiveCarol Ann's home has amazing caregivers in place that are helpful and loving with residents. Residents are treated with dignity, the food tasted amazing, and it was very clean. When I speak to families, they are in agreement that the care we see the first time continues.
