PositiveMy mom is in the independent side of the facility. She is happy and feels safe and comfortable. I like the apartment itself and the parking next to the back door is a huge plus for seniors, but not all apartments have that option. I like the newsletters and staff.

CriticalI lived at Casa de Modesto for a year. My time at Casa de Modesto was interesting. The first month there my apartment flooded. I lived next to the area to put trash and it was not always kept clean. Homeless people would sleep in the area in front of the door where the trash was dumped. I enjoyed some of games they offered, I never ate at the cafeteria and I always cooked my meals. Some of the staff was friendly and some were not.

A few times I felt her personal care was not being taken care of, such as her teeth not brushed, her hair not combed, and her personal belongings being taken by other residents. When my mom got close to the end of life, the support they provided was amazing. They provided food and beverages for me, family, and friends that visited. Positive5's across the board . They truly gave us a warm hospitable and rapid welcome! we are no longer with them because my moms friend found a new place in Livermore that was closer to her daughter and cheaper . they based her rates on her income and she qualified for reduced rates .

PositiveThe staff are very friendly and kind. They are patient and understanding. They are compassionate and supportive. The staff make sure that the residents are comfortable and have what they need. Communication at times can be a little off, but most of the time it is good. The move in process was very easy.
