Comfort and safe

I liked the look of the place staff was friendly food needs to improve. I would recommend it. More activities for the residents maybe some kind of church services

The place is beautiful; it is definitely in the middle of construction but the pond in the back and the front porch even is just such a country small town homey feel. When we walked through the tour every resident we passed would stop and have a conversation with us which helped tremendously ease our minds for social atmosphere and kind aura which still adds to that small town homey feeling.

Since new ownership took over, this facility has become a complete mess. Management is incompetent, unresponsive, & seems more concerned with appearances than actually caring for residents. Concerns are routinely ignored, and there is a clear lack of leadership and accountability. The only thing keeping this place from completely falling apart are the nurses and aides. They are compassionate, overworked, and doing their best in spite of poor management. It’s obvious they care—unfortunately, the same cannot be said…

My mom was previously a resident at Brookdale Richmond. The staff loved Mom and said they wanted to take her back when she left. The manager worked to get us the best deal on price. I didn't feel any anxiety when I couldn't be with her.

Kind and caring staff.

I would recommend Brookdale Richmond to anyone. The staff was so kind and caring. The food was good. My mom liked most of what was offered, and she's picky. The place is clean, and the overall atmosphere is homey. We were very satisfied.
