Don't judge a book by its cover

The food isn't the best. There isn't a menu choice but the staff has been willing to heat up soup for my aunt when she doesn't like what they are serving. The facility itself is a bit older but they keep it clean. The staff is really good. My aunt feels safe and well cared for. It's not perfect but the staff tries to make sure she is taken care of.

Our experience

I haven't visited when they had activities taking place. I did see a picture of my aunt playing BINGO. Independent/family owned. You negotiate a monthly rate - for life. I can see they care about the families based off of their actions. Best decision ever after I had to move my loved one from a brand name assisted living facility when rate increased after an injury.

I really like this place. The staff is friendly and caring. They truly enjoy each other's company and care for the patients. The caregivers do a great job taking care of Mom. Although the place doesn't have many amenities, the quality of care makes up for it.

Review for Chester Street Residence

The owner and the day people for the most part were wonderful. But the night workers were awful and made us leave the location. I would recommend others if they loved one is able to move on their own. If they rely completely on the caretakers I would not recommend. It is a beautiful facility that is somewhat affordable. The owner has really good intentions. They just need more staff. I think that was a big problem.
