Wonderful fit

My uncle has been very happy at Cogir. After only two months, he already feels at home and is receiving wonderful care from the staff. His studio apartment is surprisingly spacious, with a kitchenette, a large bathroom, and windows on three sides that provide plenty of natural light. He especially appreciates that the apartment is fully ADA compliant. After recently having a stroke, he needs to use a wheelchair whenever he becomes fatigued, so the accessible layout has made a significant difference in his comfort …

MY 5 WONDERFUL YEARS AT COGIR SENIOR LIVING OF GLEN MILLS, PA.

I AM CURRENTLY AN INDEPENDENT RESIDENT FOR 5 AND A HALF YEARS AT COGIR SENIOR LIVING OF GLEN MILLS, PA. I HAVE TOTALLY ENJOYED MY LIVING HERE FOR MY ENTIRE TENURE. I HAVE A GOOD RAPPORT WITH THE ENTIRE MANAGEMENT TEAM AND FIND THEM TO BE KIND, CONSIDERATE, AND OPEN TO CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT. MY ROOM IS CLEANED ON A WEEKLY BASIS BY OUR COMPETENT HOUSECLEANING CREW. Poor change of ownership experience'

From the few weeks since Cogir took over, they've had a huge turnover in staff and many residents have left. Their communication is also been horrible. The business manager tried to apologize to me after I've emailed her three times and could never get through to the phone because her voicemail is always full. Paperwork has been lost, and they overcharged my mother $[Amount removed] on the last bill and still have not figured out why. So at this point I would not recommend it at all.

Respectful and Friendly.

The staff are very friendly. Other than a quickly corrected rental agreement mistake, the transition for my father has been very smooth. While he has only been living there for 2 and 1/2 weeks he seems to be thriving and have no complaints about food or staff! Which certainly makes us happy! With the help from A Place for Mom my dad's transition to Merrill Gardens/ Cogir of Glen Mills was less difficult.

We enjoyed our visit. We learned much about senior living and tour the many areas throughout the community. Questions were must welcome and answered with expertise.

I was very impressed with MERRIL GARDENS, everything about it kept ringing the bells for me; room size and cost, activities, meals and restruants, driving service to doctors and religious services, It was all top notch as far as I was concerned. And they request a $[removed] deposit to hold a place for you which is totally refundable -- even if you decide you want to go somewhere else.
