Cooper Canyon has been observed for several months and it’s unfortunate to see residents treated without dignity by careless staff members. This facility has the worse caretakers and medical technicians that is not properly trained or educated to handle the various stages and personalities of dementia. It has been witnessed that medical technicians force medication down residents throats despite the residents not wanting to agree to take them. At the moment they are in between activities directors so there is not much going on. They have one young man who does some things with them but the whole reason we wanted her to go here was because of how good the previous activities director was. We are hoping whoever they hire next will be just as good and get things going again.
