PositiveThe staff is amazing especially the nurse [name removed]. She was so helpful and very welcoming. [name removed] answered all my questions and concerns. She assured me that my Aunt would get the best loving care. At first I had trouble finding a place for my loved one, but once I came across this establishment it felt like home. It was clean and pretty inside. The residents seemed happy and there were fun activities going on at the time. I was greated with smiling faces all around. I was confident my family member w…

CriticalI'd like to know why there's never any nurses in the building in case they're emergency, nurses come and then they leave when they want. Med techs come in give their pills and they leave the building. CNAs are never around. I was searching around for a place for someone I know and was a visitor, . And so many people told me so many stories about this place for years. It's the fact knowing there's nobody that's there that's licensed professional. Is very scary. That's a bid something tragic happens

PositiveI guess it was good value hard to say she was not there long enough to see.

CriticalThe smell of urine almost knocked me over as soon as I walked through the door. And it only got worse from there... What a sad, dark, and dismal place for any human to live in. The rooms are tiny and there is no place to get any sun or joy. This place should be closed down. It's very prison-like. The "inmates" are limited to one small area with no creative activities. The staff was ok - but I did not spend enough time to know about the care. All I know is that if they work at DML, then they are compliant in the mis…

PositiveThis community is very clean and the caregivers at this community are excellent. The cost every month is extremely good and fits for us well. the only thing is that I have had some issues with getting a prompt response from administration. The tour experience was quick and unorganized, also signing my loved one up was very unorganized and did not feel one on one. They had three people coming in at the same time and I was feeling out paperwork on my lap. Just not very happy with the administrative staff and not able…

CriticalDarlington Memory Lane had higher functioning residents with dementia than other places that we looked at. But I didn't like the facility. I didn't like that they had a completely separate unit they literally called the medical unit, knowing that the segregation was due to a financial piece. It was a tight little wing, compared to the larger more spaced out areas for the rest of the residents. Their activities seemed very engaging though, which is something my loved one would have liked.
