Deer Ridge features a classic exterior with craftsman-style features including stone and wooden elements. Traditionally decorated, the common areas and halls offer a familiar, yet refreshing atmosphere. The location offers many conveniences. For residents who want entertainment without leaving, Deer Ridge offers plenty. Residents can utilize the community’s club room, living room, dining room, interior courtyard, and so much more. The community offers a wellness program that helps residents connect and enjoy a purposeful life through seven pillars: music, art, nature, spirit, mind and body, friends and family, and community. The program’s specialized activities are designed with four memory care techniques in mind — gaze, speech, touch, and verticality — that promote a holistic ethos of care for each resident. At Deer Ridge, residents can choose from private and shared suites for their living quarters. Each suite is equipped with top security features such as sensors and pull cords, so staff can easily care for residents without invading privacy. PositiveClean facility but spendy!
Deer Ridge Memory care is very expensive considering the actual care involved. What it is is an apartment with meals and very little nursing care. So although the staff are friendly and kind I wouldn't call them thorough. My husband is a 6'5" man. His meals at Deer Ridge are the exact same as meals given to women who are 5 feet tall and frail. He is slowly losing weight there. But we do like the staff. The facility is clean and new.

The people I met were very pleasant and attentive. The only thing is she had a black pants and hoodie and it came up missing, her name was on the tag, I was told not to bring any nice outfits by others. Another lady that is there, I've been told was missing nice outfits and they think its the staff, personally I don't know, but a week and the nicest outfit missing. When it comes to the clothing issue, maybe mesh bag with resident name on it or just don't wash clothes???

It was not a satisfactory experience for me. They lost his hearing aids and he was basically deaf and his glasses. My husband's dementia was not well suited for that environment. The pandemic did not help. I was in the process of moving him when I had to move him to a behavioral/ psychiatric hospital to get him calmed down. He got Covid again and he died [date removed]. Not really able to hear me or his son and say our goodbyes. Such a sad time for me and his son. I am hoping it has improved. It was a fairly…

The meals are great! The staff are always friendly and seem to be very caring with the residents. I am not in her room much, but the rest of the facility seems very clean. My mom came from the hospital when she moved in and it was a smooth transition. I would recommend Deer Ridge Memory Care to others.
