The community’s comprehensive program — Living WellⓇ — focuses on wellness and entertainment all at once. The program uses seven pillars and offers purposeful activities that enable residents to experience moments of joy and connection. PositiveOur experience overall has been a good one with El Rio. She has had many growing pains, but nothing that the facility or the staff are at fault for. The staff is always kind, courteous and willing to take a look at my mom’s situation to help make it a better one… My mom can be a handful & very vocal!! I think her biggest hurdle, is being in a “facility” and not in her own home. This brought a lot of resentment and rebellious behavior. PositiveFacility was the nicest I saw when searching for a place. Staff was good. Sales person was excellent. Caretakers seemed nice. My dad was only there for four days. He got sick and passed away. Not anything to do with El Rio. Price was comparable to other places that weren't as nice.

PositiveThe cost was overwhelming. With creative financing we were able to afford it but I truly feel for those who can't. I'm not singling out El Rio. They are all like that. Based on the experience, we would recommend El Rio Memory Care to other families.
