Professional and Caring Staff

The staff seemed to really care about the residents and their families. They acted very professionally, and I felt it was a good value for the prices charged, as those services are generally very expensive.

It Has A Lot of Potential: Needs Improvement With Staffing, Socialization, and Activities

The medication management could be better, as the staff could be giving my loved one's medication in person and watching my loved one take their medications. My loved one is bummed as the main nurse is leaving and there has been some additional staff turned over. It would be nice to see the community have a transportation for outings, shopping, lunches, and doctor appointments.

Elder Homestead is a big house that looked to be falling apart. The rooms were small and depressing. The staff were friendly and great with their follow up, but it was just not the right fit.

Terrible place

I do not recommend this place. Communication and transparency is just horrible and unacceptable. My mother has lived here 4 years (just recently into their memory care) and I feel very unwelcome by staff (newer staff) as turnover is very high. Some are just plain rude. Senior director ignored my message of concern and to speak with him. And they refused accountability/ liability for something a nurse broke in mother's home. She deserves better, and so do I, for her., we are very close, I don't feel she's getting go…
