Five stars, great staff

My loved one is here and very happy! The staff is extremely flexible, kind, and does a great job. The building has many activities and is a great shape. Location is a 10.

Treated my mother well.

My mom was one of the longest living patients here. She recently passed away after 8 long years. She was well loved by the staff and well treated. The staff was always friendly and caring as far as I could attest to. It's a difficult job with many degrees of memory loss among the individuals. Thanks for taking such good care of my mother.

Emerald Crest Mtka

My mother has been at Emerald Crest Mtka for over two years, and we are very happy with it. We love the layout! There are 12 bedrooms circling a large living room and dining room. I like that they have bedrooms, not apartments, which encourages residents to leave their bedroom and come out to where all the action is. And there are activities available seven days a week. Emerald Crest has three houses, each with different levels of dementia, which works really well. I wanted mom to be with other Seniors who have s

The staff is unprofessional. They show no caring for my family after my husband died. He had been a resident for 16 months and passed away there. Not a single person had the common courtesy to call and express their concern. All I heard was to come and clear out his room so they could paint and clean it for the next person. No activities when I visited and rude aids., except for a few good ones. [Name removed] was not a good representative. I would never ever recommend to anyone to put their loved ones at Emerald C

Response from the community

We are not sure why, but your review was only recently posted to our site, and we are sorry we did not see it sooner. We would like to reach out to you to discuss all your concerns. Emerald Crest offers activities every day, seven days a week, under the supervision of trained occupational therapists. Staff are trained extensively to help residents feel a strong sense of success and to provide care that is personalized uniquely to each individual. If you can please contact us at [removed] we would welcome the chance to talk with you.

Emerald Crest Exceeded Expectations

The home-like environment is definitely what my mom needs. She feels comfortable and safe at Emerald Crest. All staff members have done an awesome job of caring for my mom and improving the quality of life that dementia can steal away from patients. The programming is far superior to that of any other facilities we checked into. Emerald Crest not only cares for their residents; they provide valuable support for the families as well.

This was not one of my favorites, as it was small - 12 residents in each house and the people seemed more advanced, plus it would be about $10,000.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I agree that our settings are smaller than large institutional environments. This is the result of a deliberate choice to create a homey, intimate setting that is easy to navigate for those who need memory care. In fact, our founders asked memory care experts from around the country to help them devise an environment to enable residents with cognitive issues to feel as independent as possible. Our program was created to celebrate the unique needs of residents as they navigate transitions and we accomplish this with three distinct levels of care. The Vine Program serves those who are just beginning to experience changes in memory and cognition. The Spring Program serves those who need a bit more assistance; and the Marigold Program helps those with more advanced needs. I believe you may have visited a house where people's needs are more advanced. The average cost at Emerald Crest is between $5800 and $6000 a month, and is nowhere near $10,000. Should you have any more questions, please feel free to contact me directly at [removed].
