Essex of Mexico is an intimate assisted living community located on green pastures in the quaint city of Mexico, Missouri. The traditionally built community is surrounded by vibrant trees and provides residents with a refreshingly nostalgic environment to call home. Nearby, residents have convenient access to medical offices, grocery stores, restaurants, banks, churches, and neighborhood parks. Visiting family and friends can also take their loved ones to the nearby city of Columbia to explore sights and attractions. The community's caregiving staff does its best to understand each resident's needs, preferences, and situation to help ease the transition to the community. They promote independence while being there to assist when needed. Residents benefit from assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and more. At Essex of Mexico, residents have input into their daily meals and activities to help ensure they lead their desired lifestyles. While residents are off enjoying cherished hobbies and pastimes with other community members, the staff is cooking, cleaning, and fostering an engaging environment. When residents are seeking alone time, they can easily escape to their cozy bedrooms. The community houses up to 12 residents at a time to support a family-like atmosphere and help facilitate personal relationships.
