Fox Trail Memory Care Living at South River

Warm and welcoming environment.

This was the first facility I toured and left knowing it was the right fit for my father. All my questions were answered fully and I could wander around as I wished. The ability for the residents to go outside when the weather is fair was a huge plus. All the staff did everything to make this transition as easy as possible. The homey atmosphere makes it feel like you are living in a house and not a facility. I highly recommend.

Mom is at the best place--safe, happy and family has peace of mind.

I really like South River because everything is on one floor. Very helpful, answers questions promptly. Staff always smiling and super friendly. Interaction with my mom is great. My mom is happy and safe. Grateful for the excellent care she is getting.

Expensive but would recommend

It does not seem like there are a lot of activities for the residents there. For the meals and dining, I have visited when they are cooking or cleaning up, our loved one seems satisfied and the food smells good. Otherwise I have no real experience. I moved my mom from a different facility to Fox Trail So. River. My initial agreement was for [fee removed] per month. Her monthly fees are well over [fee removed] plus I am obligated to provide hygiene supplies in addition to the facility fees. Fox is a nicer facility …

I have to comment negative on all seven - On [date removed] I asked an aide to help me walk my husband from kitchen area to TV area and she gave me a loud, flat out no on [date removed] around midnight my husband fell, was taken to hospital and died 16 days later. He was there approximately 3 months and lost almost 30 lbs They only had two aides who sat at head of TV room and watched the occupants all day. I told them the night he fell that he would not be back The only interest was that I had to pay for the next …

My husband lost over 40 lbs in [time frame removed]. Problem was behavioral I was told they were educated in the problem but they were not According to them everything that happened to him was his fault They said he fought their assistance but when I asked an aide to help me walk him from one room to another she yelled "no" I am not against your putting it on your website but I would prefer first name or initials Advise anyone signing on with any place to really read the contract

We toured Fox Trail and it was a very nice facility but too expensive for what we were looking for.
