PositiveThe place was great, but my father and one other patient were the only men in the entire site. Activities and socializing were almost entirely female oriented. Thus he found it better to be in his room alone too often.

PositiveI am so thankful for Adelaide Place. Our family recently needed a place for our great aunt and we were amazed at the flexibility and personalized help we got from the team. They truly care about her and our whole family. The caregivers go above and beyond and the managers know what is happening. You can tell that the work is hard but they do a good job. I would recommend visiting this facility if you need help with a family member or friend.

CriticalLet me start with the poor quality of food - hot dogs or soup for supper is not nutritious -especially if a low sodium diet is required. Now residents, if they prefer not to eat soup or hot dogs, are required to provide their own eggs as dinner is a reality. Often times there is no butter or bread. PositiveI'm grateful that the staff at Adelaide Place tries to take into consideration all the residents' preferences, even though it's not easy. I can hardly make my own family happy with a dinner choice because so many people like different things. My family member has received very good care there, and someone always calls me if there's a concern or something I need to be updated on. Look past the negative reviews and take the time to come and see for yourself.

CriticalThis place is so understaffed, poor food, it’s incredible that they are not shut down. Patients can wait as much as two hours for someone to come help them use the restroom. Waiting 45 minutes is pretty average. Often times, my mother would miss breakfast because no one would come get her ready in time for breakfast. Pitiful.
