PositiveThe janitorial service definitely needs improvement. Staff is competent, truly seems to care and most have been there for several years. Med techs are good. Room is adequate. Dining seems rather blah.... too many casserole dishes. Not much imagination. But dementia patients probably don't realize that . Activities are proportionate to the space, time and population. PositiveWe chose Grand Brook Memory Care of Carrollton because it did not smell bad and was homey. There were also areas where my MIL could be alone since too much activity made her nervous at times. The staff treats every resident there with care and patience.

PositiveWe picked this community for a couple of reasons. The main reason is that they offered more services like being willing to feed our family member if they could not feed themselves, or being willing to deal with incontinence and adult underwear. We also like the fact that this was a memory care center and not a combo facility with assisted-living and memory care.
★★★★★
PositiveEveryone is pleasant and they always have something positive to say about my loved one. I would recommend the facility to others.
★★★★★
PositiveI have found the Grand Brook staff to be quick to communicate and very helpful. The activities director, [name removed], is the best AD I've encountered at any memory care community. My mom has fallen less since moving to this community, and seems overall happier.
