Harbor Oaks is excellent. Qualities that make it excellent are the great staff and the flow of information on our family member in a timely manner. The food is very good.

Worst of all places

My father was there. They made all kinds of promises of how they treated everyone like family with home cooked Italian food. None of that. He had bed bugs. The aid was so rough because he kicked her ( he had dementia), she was mean. His whole arm was blue and red from her rough treatment. When someone has dementia the care givers are supposed to know how to care for him. We paid 1600 a month and he was treated horribly. My mother has been a resident at Harbor Oaks since 2016. Harbor Oaks has always provided her with excellent care and treated her like family. When the new owners took over, I was afraid quality might decline, but it actually improved. My husband and I have visited the facility in search of a place for my mom. I have to say Harbor Oaks has been the most friendly, clean, and most helpful place we have visited. The owners were so nice and really knowledgeable about what my mother really needed. We will definitely be placing my mother here!

I liked the community very much.

I was taken by the cleanliness here, there are no odors, it is very, very clean. The staff are very nice and helpful. We have other services coming in from outside the community, we are very satisfied with the assistance with ambulation, and transfers. I have not seen the activities. I liked the community very much. The owners work there everyday. It feels like home, and there is a personal touch with this community. There is no doubt as to who the owners are.
