Facility is nice and clean. They offer outings for residents and activities. [name removed] was very through and gave me a good tour of Facility. Gave me and my Mom the information we needed to help decide on this Facility.

Mom is happy!

My mom really loves the natural light in the building and the walking path around the outside. The food is great, but what stands out most of all is the people there. The management and staff are truly caring and looking out for everyone and my mom has quickly made friends and feels right at home. She is happy here!

Hard decision, easy choice

It is small and comfortable feeling. They are very attentive to the residents and serve 3 good meals plus snacks. It was small and homey. Very good personal attention and outstanding approach on his reluctant entry into the facility.

Hemsely House experience

The nursing care staff are very nice. The food is definitely below average, often stale and served cold, with limited selection/variety and often "out of" listed menu items. Facility is clean. Billing errors are common. Phone calls (to billing) not returned. Director is leaving so there is some inconsistency with where the facility is heading.

What are we paying for?

Very expensive nursing home. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for dinner? Last night it was a cold tuna sandwich on cold toast. Mom said she scraped the tuna off the cold toast. I would not give cold toast to anyone. We are paying almost $[removed]a month for that? Where is the money going? You should be ashamed of yourselves.

What we like the most about the community is the overall friendliness and the excellent care. We would recommend Hemsley House at University Park to other families based on the experience so far.
