Our families experience

We had a wonderful experience however with her new care location, Spring Arbor Cottage of Richmond. Overall we gave a 4 they went through TWO management transitions while Mom was there. 5 for care, possibly minus one for that uncertainty; especially given our experience with [community name removed]. Her condition improved considerably when her medication was adjusted after moving to [community name removed]. Their staff was well-trained and caring. They did not attempt to force Mom into activities she wasn't inter

phenomenal staff

The facility was nice and well taken care of, which was very important to us. It smelled very clean - some other facilities smelled like urine. I would say my moms bathroom counter needed updating some Formica coming off that's why I didn't rate it a 5 but it was clean. I can't say enough about the staff. My mom was level 4 care so she needed with help eating and all other life functions. Someone sat and fed her everyday. She seemed to be thriving and seemed happy. I wish she could have participated in the fun thin

My Review

My mom was pretty advanced in Alzheimer's but she did participate in exercise and music days. They seemed to have a great activities program. The staff and all people involved were very helpful and made it a nice experience in the time mom was there.

Beautiful Place, Lack of Communication

I would say overall it was a great place. The community was beautiful. There was a lack of communication, which was concerning to me. I would call and the phone would ring to all three buildings, and it wasn't seamless to reach who you need to reach.

Great place for memory care only patients!

Spring Arbor Cottage - Memory Care on 10601 Barbara Lane, Richmond, VA 23233 We have found that is facility is wonderful. The facility is just for Memory Care patients and is set up in three different cottages. It resembles a small village. The staff are wonderful and so helpful. They really care about all of the patients. There is so much for them to do here. We are so thankful for this secure environment. It is a great place for anyone who has a memory care problem.
