A very safe place for Mom

My mom has been at High Point for 4 years now. I love the place. They provide her with the care she needs whether she likes it or not, and she does not. She gets three meals a day in a lovely dining room overlooking a beautiful park like area. She can go outside and walk if she wants. She has a beautiful studio apartment with her own bathroom. Very clean, very welcoming by receptionist and other staff members.

Never had a bad experience here personally. For the most part everyone seems to get along well, and if there is any problem, magement seems to takecare of it very well. Overall residents are taken care of and most love living here. Families are very appreciative of staff taken such good care of there love one's.

A safe and lovely place for Dad.

I think the facility and staff are outstanding. I think I have a few hiccups with understanding my role as a partner with the staff. I think that is the most difficult part, determining what the family role is to ensure things go well. It is difficult to find the correct balance. I want to help, but not sure if I am annoying the staff.

Our Experience

The staff at Highpoint Residence of Quincy are great The housekeeping is weak. Communication with the family is mediocre. The move in process was great. The meals are adequate. I would suggest more off facility activities. I would not necessarily recommend this facility to others.
