PositiveGood overall, Staff, care, cleanliness, room size and amenities are all great. Activities are fair, and the biggest issue is food. Because it's a small facility there's not much choice regarding food and oftentimes it's not a complete healthy meal with vegetables and fruits. My mom comments it is too much fried foods, and not fresh foods.
★★★★★
PositiveStaff is excellent, plenty of people, low turnover, and just very nice. Facilities are nice and clean, well kept. The activities are good but not a lot of variety and no off campus activities. Biggest negative for my mom has been the dining experience, not much variety offered daily and not as healthy as she prefers (example no fried food, more fruits n veggies etc). A bigger facility would likely offer more variety and options for dining.

CriticalThe care staff was very caring and the food was excellent. But they assured me that they could care for dementia patients and it turned out that they were not a locked facility. However, it was due to their very competent care that they checked on him during the night, didn’t think he looked right, and called an ambulance. He turned out to be septics and needed an emergency bowel resection. He never had any pain. So they saved his life.
★★★★★
PositiveIt is very expensive, but because there are only 14 people in the building, the care is very good. The staff is extremely friendly and very patient. When a patient hits the button, the response time is within seconds. I would recommend this facility.

PositiveWe toured Honey's House of Helotes when searching for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. We had a great tour, this facility was great! This facility, along with one other in the area, were at the top of our list!
★★★★★
PositiveOur tour at Honey's House Helotes was fantastic. Everybody we interacted with was very friendly. They gave us all the information up front. It seemed like more of a nursing home / higher needs care facility, which we didn't need at the time. But the care looked perfect. It looked like a nice place.
