IDA CULVER HOUSE BROADVIEW

I cheated a little and ranked a couple even higher because they are exceptional. The friendliness is a 6+ and the meals and dining is a 10! What I like the most about the community is the friendliness, food, activities, not having to cook and buy groceries. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families.

My move was very easy, excellent support from everyone at Ida Culver. They also assigned a resident (more like a big sister) to show me around and introduce me to people and activities for a week or so. it's a great place. The staff responds very quickly to request for help or repairs. Both residents and staff are very friendly. I'm just starting to take part in the activities and they have an excellent variety of things to dol. The food is wonderful. I'm just starting PT and am very impressed with my therapist. So…

Best all-around value (coming from a couple that toured 14 locations!)

Helpful staff, both administration and care. Well maintained facility. Free visitor parking if you use the intercom at the side entrance. Good mix of room sizes/layouts in independent/assisted living (up to detached cottages). More limited in memory care, but I've been told by many people that the rooms are much bigger than the average memory care rooms in other facilities.

Disappointing

Sadly, this facility has gone down hill in the past few years since getting a new Director. Their Assisted Living program is abysmal with not enough help, long waits for care and a lack of expertise and management competence since losing their Nursing Director last fall. The food is hit and miss since losing their Culinary Director for some unkown reason. Perfectly divine!

Although it took us 12 mins. to find parking for our mid-size SUV, we're so impressed with the beauty of Ida Culver House Broadview -- inside, outside, many quality choices & entertaining spaces for residents, its cleanliness, att'n to maintenance, & the security. We didn't partake in meals, but both our family members love the food & menu choices, & my sis loves all the little library locations within. Wonderful

Over the past eight months, I have been telling several of my family members about how wonderful Ida Culver House Broadview is and how happy Mom is there. Last week my family came from out-of-town to visit Mom, to see her and to see where she lives now.
