Ivy Park at Cathedral Hill

I rate the memory care unit at Ivy Park a 5 out of 5. The staff treat residents with kindness, respect, and patience. They consistently demonstrate proactive care, anticipating residents' needs and providing attention even before being asked. [Name removed] was very happy with the care he received during his final days, particularly from [name removed]. I mentioned that the following day would be [name removed]'s 90th birthday and that he might have many visitors. Instead of leaving him in bed, [name removed] dres

I met with both the Manager and Marketing Director of the facility. They spent a great deal of time with me asking questions about my husband and his needs. I thought they were extremely patient and nice, and the information they provided will help me make a decision about his future. I was given a tour of the facility, and it felt like a well-maintained and comfortable environment, a bit like our own home.

Best/Most Reasonable in San Francisco We Visited.

There is no air conditioning in the rooms. Their bookkeeping/invoices are difficult to understand. Excellent meals, many choices. Lots of activities, both on site and bus tours. They also moved all belongings and furniture. Even packed clothes. That is a one trip free offer. If more trips required there is a charge.

Ivy Park at Cathedral Hill Is More Than Just Another Facility!

Overall Ivy Park at Cathedral hill is a wonderful place. There's activities every day and the activity staff is fabulous. There's a film showing daily and a library with lots of books free for the reading. Outdoor concerts are held, many entertainers are returning favorites. There's front desk staff are very courteous, kind and professional. They know most of the residents by name and take time to converse and ally fears or provide information. The caregivers are excellent at their jobs and I feel my husband is s

Pros/cons Ivy Park after one month.

Housing and activities are 5. Food seems good. Staff are nice but there are times the wait can be 15-20 moments before someone arrives when called. There is significant red tape in getting basic medical care implemented, everything minor item requiring a physician order. Soaking a toe requires a home health referral. This may be the case with other facilities. The sales people are very communicative, the care coordinators are not. Very frustrating to get a call back or response to emails (if there was a separate ca

The director ([name removed]) and her assistant ([name removed]) were excellent. She is very responsive to all follow up questions. The residence is beautiful, very clean, quiet, and a great location. There are many activities and a widely varied menu from a chef. Many choices. We have already reserved a unit for my sister who doesn't want the responsibility for a large home any longer.
