Ivy Park at Escondido

I visited Ivy Park yesterday and was really rather impressed. The workers, the receptionist, and the director who met us were all very welcoming both to me and my mother-in-law. The interview we started with helped us assess our needs and learn about their services. We had a comfortable back and forth. The tour itself was at a relaxed pace with plenty of time for questions. Ivy Park is one of the most impeccably organized facilities I have toured. The staff was hospitable and their representative took time out of her busy schedule to give us a thorough tour of the building with a full explanation of the many amenities available. Very impressive.

Ivy Park

Since we have Mike there only for respite care, I don't know about the activities but everyone that I've read the days look very exciting and interesting. Everything else I would put as a five except for the food and you're never gonna please everybody. But Mike has like some of the food so that's a big relief.

It was very clean, the people were wonderful. The patient will only be there two months for a respite care. They were very, very helpful in getting us all set up and doing everything they could to make his stay very comfortable.

not the best for a Memory Care patients that need more help

This location is best suited for the easiest to handle clients needing the least amount of help. Not great for more difficult dementia patients. Med Techs administration of medicine is inconsistent between techs. Sometimes meds are not given causing chaos for the patients. Sales & staff build different expectations. Sales says no problem to everything. After you are checked in the response from the staff doing the actual work is quite different. Review for Ivy Park at Escondido

I did not care for Ivy Park. My Mom was in Memory Care at Ivy Park. The home had a real lack of leadership and training of their employees and they were always short staffed. The Ivy Park management team for Memory Care liked to hide behind closed doors and was very unapproachable. No teamwork at Ivy Park and no guidance or interaction from upper management. Hopefully things will change for the better there soon, because it is a beautiful facility.
