PositiveMain reasons we chose Kenosha Place - Location..near myself, & my siblings. And, the cleanliness. It's also decorated very nicely, with large windows.. cheerful looking. Overall it is a great place for a loved one.
★★★★★
PositiveWe really like the place, but there could be improvements on the activities. For the most part, the staff/care givers are great. Most seem to like their job, & are caring to the residents.

CriticalThere is an occasional good meal but it's rare maybe once a week. The food is not good and my mom forgoes many dinners and has a snack instead provided my family members. Even the people who bring her the food say 'I'm not the cook, sorry' and have admitted they would not eat it. Also the menus posted do not match what is provided at the mealtimes. One positive is they will bring meal to her room for no extra charge (yet).

CriticalThe caregivers need to check in on my loved one more and keep his room in better shape, drain his urinal every time they walk in. Make him go to activities and to the dining area to eat. Be more kind and gentle.

I saw a black female med passer using profanity at one of the residents who was asking about medication for his wife, and a white male caregiver hugging on another employee and playing around. I also saw the white male pushing one of the female patients to her room and heard him yelling at her for not putting her night clothes on. I will be taking my mother out of this facility really …
